This is a pair of original GM 3946074 aluminum cylinder heads for Big Block Chevy engines. These heads have rectangular intake ports, rounds exhaust ports, and open combustion chambers. The 3946074 heads were used on the following applications: 1969 ZL-1 427/430HP All Aluminum engine, 1969 2nd design L-88 427/430HP engine, and the 1971 Corvette LS6 454/425HP engine. Finding an original pair of 3946074 heads has become quite a challenge. Don\'t miss this awesome set.
These heads are complete with valves, springs, retainers, guide plates and rocker studs as shown.The part numbers, date codes, and all 4 winter\'s foundry marks are intact and undisturbed.The heads have never had any repairs done and one head needs repair as shown. One chamber has an impact at some time which caused a crack in the chamber and intake port as shown. The cracks will need to be welded and the intake valve, seat, and guide will need to be replaced. These will be a very nice pair of heads once repaired and rebuilt.
