This is an original Ford Holley 4 Barrel carburetor. The numbers stamped into the choke tower are as follows: C8OF-9510-AB List 4168 833. The C8OF-9510-AB is the Ford part number. The List 4168 is the Holley part number. The Holley List 4168 carburetor was used by Ford on 1968 1/2 428 Cobra Jet Mustangs and Cougars as well as the 1968 Shelby GT-500KR with an automatic trans. The 833 is the date code. It decodes as the 3rd week of March, 1968. That\'s right, this is a real deal production line installed carb!
This carb is in good condition as shown. The coloring is very nice and it is complete less the metering blocks and bowls as shown. All parts move freely. The only flaw I see is one air bleed above a boosting is missing and needs replacment as shown. The missing pieces from this carb are the same as those on many factory Cobra Jet carbs including the List 4609 replacement carb. I decided to list this as is since I don\'t have nice parts to complete the carb on hand. If I find a suitable carb to get the necessary parts from, I will update the listing/price. This is a very hard to find 1968 428CJ carb!
