Fauxsmobile Valve Cover


Designed to look like the early 1949 - 1950 Oldsmobile valve covers but are designed to fit late style small block Chevys using the center bolt valve cover cylinder heads. They can also be used with conventional small block cylinder heads by using an adapter kit (not included, adapter allows valve covers to fit 1955-1986 Chevy engines). Perfect for any retro styled street rod. With this exciting new product, it is possible to have the reliability, convenience, and warranty of a new Chevrolet crate engine while having the appearance of a 1949-50 Oldsmobile. The all new Oldsmobile V8, introduced in 1949, was once the hottest engine available to transplant into hot rods. With a displacement of 303 cubic inches, compact size, and overhead valves, it made more horsepower in stock form than a hopped-up flathead. These valve covers have one, 1.22" hole in each cover to accept a PCV valve grommet, or a filler plug. They measure 2.5" from their own gasket surface to the underside of the 'top' of the valve cover. Clears most rocker arms.
