These precision laser-cut bracketsuse your existing front drum spindlesto economically convert to disc brakes. No machining of your drum spindle is necessary, you do not even need to remove it from the vehicle. We use 1990 Chevrolet Celebrity calipers andpads along with 1978 Monte Carlo rotors(10-1/2" disc) bearings and seals to accomplish this.

These 1/4" cold-rolled steel bracketsare specially designed to work with the stock 14 x 6" drum rims, and may work with narrower rims if a wheel spacer and longer studs are used.This setupcan be used with the stock one-chamber master cylinder, either power or manual, keeping a stock-appearing engine bay while benefitting from much better braking, though we recommend switching to a dual master with a proper combination valve.

Please check your upper brake shoe anchor bolt. We ship out with 1/2" upper bolts, but some applications are 5/8" diameter. Also, it would be wise to check the spindle-to-steering arm bolt size (7/16" or 1/2"). . Our brackets are sent out with the lower holes laser cut at 7/16". Please measure to see what size you have and we can modify this correctly for you at no additional charge.
