This listing is for a custom Oil Filler Cap for the AMCHornet withthe inline six.This started out as a Brand New Stant Brand Oil Filler Cap #10066 (or #11066 if it's package in the "Bubble Pack"), the same one that you can probably pick-up at your nearby parts store for a couple bucks. What makes it a Custom cap is the Billet Aluminum "insert" or "Disk" that I machined and engraved with theHornet Logo and lettering. After engraving, I colored in the design,then fine spin-sanded the disk so that the engraving would really stand out. Again, the design is actually cut INTO the aluminum, it's not some cheap sticker that can wear/fall off. This Disk was then mounted into the recess on the top side of the Oil Cap using High Temp/High Strength adhesive.

A little bit about the photos: Taking a good picture of this item proved to be quite difficult. I tried different lighting, and different camera settings but still couldn't get a picture that I really liked. Iposted several photos, including pictures of just theoil fillercap, and pictures of the custom "Disk" alone before it was mounted into the recess of the cap. I don't think the pitcures do the part justice, it is really a nice custom part. ALSO, if you prefer: ThisHornet Oil filler cap is also available with the logoturned 90 degrees so that it would be horizontally aligned with the "tabs" of the oil cap. If the winner of this listing would prefer the horizontal alignment (see the picture), I will send that style.

The Stant Cap #10066/11066 is the correct oil filler cap for all AMC Hornets with the AMC inline six (199, 232, or 258) . It is not the correct oil filler cap for the V8 Hornet's.
