I am selling this for a friend. He was told by the shop that put the engine in his car that the carbs were all rebuilt. The center one has an NOS bowl on it. The air cleaner is reproduction. This was in use for about 1,500 miles then switched to a 4 barrel as the owner isn't a tinkerer and out of money to address a couple of things needed as listed below, so this wasn't going to work for him.We had to retrieve the car from the shop as the owner ran out of money. With another friends help we got the car finished and running. Someone had drilled holes inbutterfly valves on the outer carbs. I'm told this is a trick for 4 barrel carbs on engines with lumpy cams, but not something to be done on a 6 pack set up. The needle seats on the outer carb bowls either need repaired or the bowls replaced as the threads are damaged to barely there. Because of this the outer carbs were disconneted and the car was running on the center carb. And he was told he could run that way for as long as he wanted, but that hewouldn't have the performance he wanted if he wanted to go to the race track. Being that he was out of money this came off and a 4 barrel setup wenton in it's place. The shop that did the engine work had found a crack in the intake on the runnerto cylinder #2, somewhere in the middle of it. He grooved itout, welded it,smothedout the weldand retextured it and there is no issue with it. In fact, I can't tell where the work was done and I'm told there should be no further issue with this. All parts are there to connect the outer carbs back up.
