OVERVIEW
The Achilles Desert Hawk A/T 2 is an all terrain, all season tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Achilles offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this tire model.
The tire improves the all terrain traction. The aggressive tread design with the staggered block pattern and high void ratio enhances the soft, loose and uneven terrain traction. These tread elements significantly improve the on- and off-road grip, optimizing the forward motion throughout the performance. This guarantees the tire\'s secure performance through deep mud and on soft dirt surfaces. The tread keeps the footprint clean by eliminating mud, snow and rocks from the footprint. As a result, mud and snow cannot block the surface contact, while rocks cannot drill into the casing and cause stone retention. This promotes a safer driving experience.
The model greatly upgrades the controllability. The maintained surface contact of the aggressive block pattern enhances the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver\'s commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The stabilized shoulder block pattern with the siping pattern greatly improves the cornering and maneuvering ability. These tread elements provide extra biting edges during maneuvering, further enhancing the tire\'s grip on the driving surface. In this manner, the tire upgrades the driver\'s control over the vehicle at all times.
The all weather traction is also guaranteed. The detailed tread design and the stronger all season compound boost the dry, wet and winter grip. The siping and optimal block pattern boosts the grip with the use of additional biting edges, while the compound maintains the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. This greatly improves the summer and winter weather performance. The groove placement avoids hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint during the tire\'s on-road drive. The Desert Hawk A/T 2 improves the tread life length. The stronger compound elements and the stability of the footprint work together to enhance the tread life. The compound keeps the rubber flexibility and prevents premature wear formations, greatly improving the usability. On the other hand, the stabilized footprint ensures even pressure distribution across the tread area. The equally circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevent irregular wear formations. The slower and even wear boosts the model\'s service life.
