283 crankshaft small block chevy casting number 3876768 dated h-27-5,august 27 1965 casting date,would be correct date match for a 66 model,chevy by the numbers says this crank is forged steel,but i dont think its steel looks cast to me,but at least its made in usa.std on the mains and rods but does have surface rust from sitting all the years ive stored it.would have stayed standard if not for the surface rust main mics 2.298,rod journal mics1.999.small journal crankshaft 3.000 stroke correct for 283,or put in 327 block 67 back and build a 302 z28 engine,clone,call shannon with any questions [phone removed by ]
