This is a used short block including block, pistons, rods, crank, cam and oil pan. No other parts.
This engine was removed in running condition and stored for 20 years in my garage. It is in good shape with no rust or other damage.
The casting number is 3914678 and could be for a 1968 302, 327 or 350 Camaro, Corvette, Chevelle or Nova.
The Engine ID Code is VI025YH, which says possibly a 1966 or 1967 Chevy 327, 220hp, 4bbl carb with automatic transmission.
Casting Date Code is J237 which states it was cast 10-23-1967, which could make it a very late 1967 or a 1968 block.
It\'s definitely a 327 - 4\" bore x 3.25\" stroke.
Crankshaft casting number = 4672 and my research says it\'s a 1968 327 large journal truck crankshaft. Journal measures about 2.45\" dia.
Looks to be a forged crank, with the very wide parting line + rounded edges, etc.
Crank and pistons rotate freely and easily, no rust or other damage.
Please note that while I do prefer local pickup, I will palletize and prepare for freight pickup/shipping at buyer\'s expense. No extra charge for packaging for shipment but it\'s heavy - in excess of 250 lbs - and you will need to arrange shipping. Engine is located in Colorado Springs, CO 80918.
