Most reproduction items are coming from overseas on cargo vessels which are subject to moisture and salty conditions. These metal panels are sprayed with an EDP coating to protect them from the long-term effects of shipping and storage of these parts. Due to the nature of sheet metal, Minor dents, Scratches, Scuffs, and or Other Minor Imperfections in the "EDP" coating are considered normal attributes and are NOT to be considered as Defective or Damaged. These minor imperfections are corrected during the priming, sanding, and filling process of the sheet metal. This is the normal process & expectations professional auto body shops are accustomed to while performing the preparation and installation of these parts. All sheet metal of this nature is to be scuffed and or stripped of any coating including "EDP" prior to welding, panel work, fillers, primer, and paint. Professional Installation and/or advice is highly recommended when dealing with the installation of sheet metal!
