This is a bare of bare 14097088 cylinder heads for Big Block Chevy engines. These heads have rectangular intake ports and open style combustion chambers. These heads were original equipment on many high performance Mercruiser engines. I believe they were also used on the 502HO engines and others. These heads were made for GEN V Big Block Chevy engines. I believe they will also fit earlier Mark IV blocks as long as the correct head gasket is used. Please confirm your specific application.
These heads were removed from a very good running fresh water dual engine boat. The owner decided to add superchargers to the engines and added aluminum heads at the same time. The heads come as shown less the rocker studs and guide plates. I see no porting or other modifications to these heads. One chamber has had a hardened intake seat added as shown. It looks like something fell in the chamber and nicked up the seat so it was replaced. The heads have been used since the seat was installed with no issues. The heads are bare because the shop that had them robbed the hardware for another engine. These are very nice original GM high performance heads that will perform great on a variety of applications.
