1959 Ford Thunderbird 2 Dr Hardtop, The complete restoration of this car was done by the owner himself over a 4 year period, from 1992-1996. Everything on the car was either brand new and correct (such as the interior-seats, door panels, dash pad, headliner, etc., etc.), redone (such as bumpers rechromed), or completely rebuilt ( like the engine and transmission). It is a beautiful restoration job, done with great care and attention to detail. The car has been garage kept and driven regularly (16,800 miles) since restoration, with impeccable attention given to servicing, upkeep, etc. There are only minor cosmetic imperfections as a result of actually driving, showing, and enjoying the vehicle over the past 9 years. The car is diamond blue with a white top. It has a correct black and white vinyl interior, black carpets and white headliner. It is equipped with automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, power windows and power drivers seat. All gauges, lights, etc. work properly. The clock works sporadically (usually works in warm weather). The car has original type wide whitewall bias ply tires, deluxe Sun-Ray wheel covers, fender shields, glass pak mufflers and chrome exhaust extensions. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. However, Harry has an enclosed vehicle trailer and will consider delivery of the vehicle for an additional fee (to be negotiated). Although this car runs and drives like a dream, it is 45+ years old, so there is no implied or express warranty and it is being sold as is.
