1968 Pontiac Firebird 400, Tangerine Madness (Orange) exterior - complete exterior color change in 2005 – no rust!!. Parchment (Pearl White) original interior. 400 Pontiac Motor .040 bored with ram air 3 heads rebuilt by Greg Merrick in 2003 - balanced and blueprinted. Never had it dyno tested, but Greg Merrick said it should be around 500HP and I believe him!! New 400 Turbo transmission with shift kit. Performance Technology Suspension - new springs, bushings, polygraphite and front disc brakes. 10 bolt rear end – do not know the gear ration, but it is not a posi (could use more gear). BeCool aluminum radiator and cap, K&N air filter, Chrome valve covers and master cylinder, custom made camshaft, MSD Billet distributor, MSD wires, MSD 6AL box, Holley Performer RPM intake, Holley 850 DP, Crower 4340 Forged rods, Ferrea valves, Hedman Hedders with 2-1/2" custom made H-pipe and flowmaster mufflers. All of the chrome is factory except the lower chrome under the doors – it has been re-chromed perfect. We even had the front engine bay chromed. All original interior with fold down front bench seat, original AM radio – wiring has not been cut, original Firebird emblems etched into front windows, No air and No heat, autometer gauges (oil, temp, volt) mounted under the dash, VDO tach mounted on the steering column, Hurst Quarter Stick gear shifter. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the power steering gear box – it has a slow leak. IF you drive it every day, no problem. If you let it sit for a month, it will leak a spot on the floor. This Firebird is Mean sounding and in Excellent shape - appraised for $28000 in Oklahoma – have over $35,000 invested in it. You can not go anywhere without someone commenting on this car.
