1967 Mercury Cougar 2 Door Coupe - 289 5.0L - 4bbl for Sale

I have owned the car for 4 years, and I never intended to sell it. It was purchased at the Kruse Classic Collectible Car Auction in April of 2007 at the South Coast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. I am the third owner of the car and have the original sales receipt from 1967 in Helena, MT. Unfortunately, my current situation has forced me to part with the car. I have every one of the maintenance receipts for the car over the years that I have owned it and they will all be included in the sale.

This is a Montana car with minor rust on the underbelly. There is one rust bubble on the passenger-side rear fender, right beside the wheel well. Driver side headlight vacuum must be going out, opens slowly. Radio knob is loose and will easily come off when turned (but it does stay on unless pulled off). Brake lights burned out, need new bulbs.

New fuel pump & fuel-to-filter line, new fuel tank & sending unit, tank-to-pump line - May 2009
New power steering pressure line - May 2009
New 3-row radiator & fan shroud - April 2010
Front end alignment & installation of complete front end steering & suspension rebuild kit - April 2010

The upholstery is in nearly perfect condition. Includes an "Original Dashmat" brand dashboard cover (black) and Cougar floor mats (black w/ walking cat and Cougar logo) in front driver and passenger side seats. Comes with brand new (uninstalled) hood insulation. Comes with brand new (uninstalled) window felts for all 4 rolling windows. Comes with "Illustrated Facts and Features Manual."

This particular Cougar has the tilt-away steering wheel.
