Powered by a numbers matching 400cid V-8 and bolted to a re-built 400 Turbo-Hydramatic transmission, you will readily recognize that Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Edlebrock intake manifold above a hydraulic Powermax Crane Cam and rockers and Hooker headers down under. Built in the 2nd week of May 1967 in the respected Lansing Michigan assembly line there was no shortage of equipment. This 442 came with power steering and front mounted power disc brakes. The before mentioned (W30) 442 package, 4 inch foam stratobucket seats covered in Morocceen vinyl, console, deluxe seat belts, front and rear, an AM radio, deep cut-pile carpeting and much more. The current owner went inside and installed new vinyl seat cushions, a new headliner, new carpeting, panels and more. He also installed a stainless steel Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust system. Also a CD player, and a 3-pack gauge system, all under the dash. In addition new BFG 245/40-17 fronts and 275/40-17 rears, all wrapped around custom MHT chrome wheels. To add a personal and an edgy touch a pebble beige accent stripe was added. This was Oldsmobile?s answer to the muscle car market in the mid-60?s. This is a very nice cruiser that has performance to back it up along with its looks and strong heritage. Unlike many of its competitors it came with rear sway bars, so handling is surprisingly decent for a muscle car. It has adequate space in the back seat and trunk. Motor Trend recorded times from 0 to 60mph in under 7seconds and the ¼ mile in under 15seconds @ 95mph. Quite a feat for ?A? bodies. This is a very nice 442. It is all restored and ready for show or drive it anywhere and have peace of mind during the entire trip. All the rubber and fluids are fresh.
