This is a 1965 Belvedere II convertible that I have enjoyed driving since early 1965 when it was used to get my learner?s permit. It has been a California car for most of its life before moving to the Northwest where it has continued to lead a very sheltered life. In the summer of 2010 it received a new paint job in the original Plymouth Copper Poly color, new carpeting, windshield, rear window, nos front fender trim, and nos rear end trim. The bumpers were re-chromed as well as the backup light housings and the side pieces for the top boot. The transmission and engine were professionally rebuilt using the original transmission and a 69 440 RB engine. The original engine is still sitting in the garage if the buyer wishes to keep it with the car. The car was stripped to rust free bare metal and then primed, sanded and painted with two stage paint. The seats, top, door panels, rear side panels, dash, steering wheel, and all the interior chrome are original and in very nice condition. The trunk interior remains untouched with the original mat, jack and one of the original Goodyear Power Cushion tires as a spare. It has about three hundred miles on it since the restoration work was completed. After forty seven years of ownership, it is important that the car go to a new owner with an appreciation for what it is. The original window sticker, Certicard, request for California new car registration, and many years of California and Washington registration cards are included along with the owner?s manual, and several glove box documents like tire warranty, etc.   If you have any questions, please ask before bidding. I will work with the new owner to ship the car but all the shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the new owner. On Feb-13-12 at 12:36:52 PST, seller added the following information:Additional photos have been added to show the engine as it looks today with the heater hoses installed and the original window sticker. Please note that the prices were never added to the sticker since the car was purchased from the dealer as soon as it arrived. This is a very early production car but I prefer not to post the VIN on the internet so the last few digits are blocked out.On Feb-17-12 at 08:44:44 PST, seller added the following information:There will not be any second chance offers made to any bidders if the car does not sell. If you are contacted after the listing ends it will not be a legitimate offer from me.
