1968 Mercury Cougar For Sale

This Cougar is in EXCELLENT condition! I purchased this car from a family that didn't use it after their parents passed away. It was the mothers car. I have ALL the maintenance documents on this car since it was sold NEW to today (file approx 3 inches wide)! I even have the letters from the original Mercury dealer thanking them for their purchase as well as the owners manual. Anyone that looks thru the file can easily understand the history of this car and how well it was taken care of. The motor is the original 302 that was rebuilt 12000 miles ago with the original C4 auto trans that was rebuilt 30,000 miles ago. I have all documents to prove miles. It has factory front disc brakes and one repaint with the original Polar White color. The factory a/c compressor has been rebuilt and works very well. Dash pad is perfect and looks great. It has a new vinyl top and all maintenance was recently done, such as tune up, oil change, radiator flush, new thermostat, rear diff, time, tune up, trans service, front alignment, etc. The car runs great! I installed a wood steering wheel and have the original as well. All chrome shines and I put new Boss staggered 18" wheels and tires with new leaf springs to prevent any rubbing. I installed an aftermarket radio from West Coast Cougar that fits perfectly in dash without cutting anything to fit and and it has a usb as well as a aux plug so you can download songs or use an Ipod and it is pre-wired for an amp if desired, complimented with 4 Rockford Fosgate speakers. All gages work, even the clock. All lights work as well as the doors and the sequential tail lights. Recently installed new gas tank, battery, shocks, brakes, brake lines and front 1" lowering springs. It has been recently inspected by a local shop and passed a 60 point inspection. I have all receipts. Clean title (in hand) and both original black plates with original selling Mercury dealer plate frames. Currently registered and insured. You won't find another car like this, in this good shape with all the records from when it was sold new. I get compliments on this car everywhere I take it and all car shows and cruises I go to. It is an absolute pleasure to drive! I would trust this Cougar to drive anywhere. This is my first post with ebay.
