This is my '69 Dodge Charger Daytona. I won't get flamboyant with this ad. If you're looking for a Daytona, you should pretty much know the NASCAR history behind the creation of this vehicle and what you're looking at. - V2 hemi orange- black interior auto console- 440 4bbl 727 auto (not original block or tranny)- A32 Super High Performance axle pkg. 4:10 DanaFormer magazine feature car in Mopar Muscle and the British "Street Machines & American Car World". The car's feature appearance in the Fall Issue of Motor Trend Classic magazine is at book stores now. It was part of a 4 aerocar photoshoot at Texas Motor Speedway. Needless to say, that was a blast, especially since we had full access to the track and were at liberty to play all we wanted and boy, did I take advantage of the situation. Needless to say I made over 30 laps on the high banks at high speeds with many of those at 125+mph coming out of turn 2 down the back stretch. One can really feel the aero down force on the car from the nose and wing at about 110mph. Even with the 4.10's, I have the ability to push it to those speeds because of the GearVendor overdrive system I installed. It works great. The car has the best of both worlds; 4.10 performance and comfortable highway cruising speeds. No longer will Grandma pass me as I'm forced to the right lane.. :)This is a real solid car which has all it's original sheetmetal, including the hood, trunk and rear valance. Those are typical panels which often need replacement. You will be hard pressed to find a car like this. Its exhaust is a complete aluminized system and in great shape. The 440 is rebuilt to pretty much stock OEM specs and the transmission shifts great. The front power disc brakes work great and the front-end is in great shape, the Daytona tracks beautifully. If you HAVE to have the original block and tranny case, then this isn't the car for you. But, if that sort of thing doesn't bother you, then look on. Other then crawling under the car, you wouldn't know it isn't the original block. It's not perfect, ie. fresh paint job. She has her little share of tiny chips in the nose and imperfections, but then again, I don't have this priced as a fresh restoration. Since I've gotten the car, I've had fun further detailing it. It's been a blast needless to say. The only reason I'm looking to sell is I've found a Daytona that's closer to my father's former car he had new. Original interior from what I've been told by previous owners with the exception of the carpet. I have spoken to pretty much every owner of the car to include the original owner. The only owned I haven't spoken to in hindsight is the 2nd owner. All they pretty much did is store the car for over a decade inside. The car has been inside, either stored in a barn or post-restoration in a garage since about 1972/1973. I just installed a new carpet set from ECS and it looks great. The complete dash has been detailed/restored; from all gauges, bezels and amp-2-volt gauge conversion for safety, looks great. New magnum 500's with new Goodyear Eagle GT II's. Runs and drives terrific. Jump in and go.May consider partial auction payment plus another neat Mopar; perferably '69 Charger R/T or possible Superbird project.Troy832-498-4406 Call or email if you have any questions. The following links to photo album and videos: http://www.picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/22160030 On Oct-26-11 at 08:05:56 PDT, seller added the following information: Oh, forgot to mention I do have an original broadcast sheet to the car.
