For sale is an extremely rare 1960 Miller Meteor Funeral Coach. This vehicle is a 100% complete and unmolested. It runs and drives, but it needs to be restored to be roadworthy. Many of the lights on the car work. There is some rust, but it is not a rust bucket. The floors will need to be replaced. There is almost no rust in the quarters as the photos show. The rare curved glass in the rear is in mint condition. The windshield is shattered, but I have a replacement windshield for sale for an extra $800 if interested. The windshield was cracked and then shattered while being delivered to me. The vehicle has suicide rear doors. The coffin table in the rear moves, but I have been unable to get it to move under power. All of the trim is in very good condition. It will need to be polished and rechromed, but there are no heavy pits. The hood has the usual crease in it that 59's/60's get. I have an extra hood in good shape I'll throw in for free. This car spent all of it's life in southern California. I purchased it after giving up on finding a 1959 Milller Meteor. Fate has smiled on me and I just purchased a 1959 Miller Meteor this week, so I'm putting my 1960 up for sale. The asking price is what I paid for the car, so I'm just looking to get my money back out of it. This car is worth over $50,000 when restored, and will be an easy restoration. There is a note in the spare tire compartment from one of the owners in the 1970's. I tracked him down and he told me some of the history of this car. It was at one time owned by the Hell's Angels. His neighbor didn't like the car parked near his house, so he shot the driver's side door with a shotgun. It marred the door but didn't penetrate it. It's interesting that nobody has tried to restore this car since the 1970's since the shotgun mark is still there. Email me or call me at (920) 660-6362 and ask for Paul if interested. |
