1979 Ferrari 308 GTS For Sale

NO RESERVE  - GOES TO THE HIGH BIDDER!!Well loved 308 GTS Ferrari in excellent condition. Like new  interior, 18' wheels and tires. Stereo/CD player, Tires have more then 50 % tread left. Perfect transmission, rear end AC, all electrical, etc. Engine has regular service from Exotic Performance in Marina del Rey, CA. - same show for two owners. The four Weber carbs have never been an issue and stay tuned. Engine runs cool even when driving the car hard up Hwy 74 outside Palm Desertin 100 degree temperature  (from the desert floor  to 6,000 ft!)  !!This has been a great car - I have a Youtube  video we shot last year during for the Los Angeles chapter  Ferrari Club's  "Mikes Run" that I can send  - email request - showing my wife and I blasting down the hwy and back roads with 50 other club cars - fantastic video shot from my wife's iPhone.This car has no surprises. She starts right up,  runs great  and is fantastic fun to drive. Never any issues!! The car has cost me less to maintain then my VW Touareg!!On Feb-05-12 at 08:37:59 PST, seller added the following information:Interior was replaced by the previous owner so looks ans smells like a new car. Records available. Interior looks new -all leather is near flawless!! All gauges and all electrical work. No issues. Head lights were upgraded to high-output lights. Cooling system works perfect. AC works perfect even in Palm Desert 100+ degree weather. Exhaust is in excellent condition. Car passes  smog test  - all legal equipment in place to pass Cal smog test.The door mirrors were upgraded from the mirrors that came with the car.Includes custom black  w/ white piping Sunbrella removable top storage bag ($250), took kit and jack, and manual (reprint purchased on ebay).No body damage - looks like a very straight body, however, the car has been repainted a few owners back All panels line up, doors close like new, etc. All seals look new ( replaced by previous owner), etc. Both front and rear trunks close easily. No overspray - a very nice paint job.I have always warmed up the engine prior to driving - waiting till the oil temp gauge kick up - and then drive no higher then 3,000 RPM for a few miles and shift from 1st to 3rd till trans is at operating temp. This is one of the reasons the trans feels and shifts like  new! No syncro issues, no noises. Easily downshifts without double clutching into any gear, even 1st, etc. Suspension is very , very tight. Steering is very very tight . No bushing issues, etc. The car drives it's self - one finger on the steering wheel at 100 mph!!My mechanic said this 308 is the the nicest car  he has ever had the pleasure to work on.
