Car is Sold, please contact me for backup purchase possibilities.  If you are interested in the convertible you know how to reach me, or keep an eye out for future listing here on Ebay.  Congratulations Dwayne hope you enjoy this car as I have over the years.  24 Year Ownership since HS, 396 Clone   Have owned/loved this ?Green Machine? since High school in 1988.   It started out life as a 6 cylinder, A/C, with console, dark green int.  Now with A/C, 4 speed, 12 bolt posi, 396-325HP, in accurate SS trim all the way to the factory tach.  Body fully restored in 2001 with rally green paint, a factory GM color available for only a ½ year in 1969.  Spent the summer of 2001 installing new sheet metal including NOS fenders, NOS quarters, new door skins, new hood and painting it.  Car was undercoated with Z-Bart from dealer in 1969 so rockers, trunk lid cowl, header panel, floors and trunk are original and ROCK SOLID/RUST FREE!    Other than new rear package tray, and driver?s steering wheel and seat needing to be recovered?..interior and glass is very clean and original.  Everything on this car other than glass and interior has been replaced or rebuilt with less than 15K miles on it since my 24 year ownership.  All the front suspension including shocks, springs, rear and front suspension bushings, ball joints, and tie rod ends are new, body on frame bushings are new, alternator, water pump, PS pump, all new, radiator new, all the tracks in the doors were cleaned?.new window track wheels and lubricated, Trans and shifter completely rebuilt less than 2500 miles, rear has new gears, bearings and Eaton Posi, all new parts related to brakes,  mechanically this car is near new.  Front bumper has been repaired and re cromed, almost all the bright work is period correct original SS and in great shape.  The paint looks great yet has a few chips as I have driven and enjoyed this car.     The bad:  Driver seat is torn?..will have to replace seat cover,  A/C compressor works but the clutch bearing is noisy?.can install new clutch/bearing or replace compressor, steering wheel is cracked and will need to be replaced.    When I decided to sell her, we freshened up the 396/325hp Motor.  It received cut crank, rod/main bearings, rings, oil pump, cam, and valve springs/seals.  Block is standard bore and only honed as cylinders had no ridge and in great shape.    Everything on car but headers are period correct, including cast iron intake, Rochester/Q-jet carb, and factory Tach.  Will sell original style cast iron exhaust manifolds with car for additional $200.00.     Drive this car cross country today, no disappointments.  This is not a quick fix and flip rust bucket.  It?s been taken care of and garage kept since 1988.   I also own a 5 time Antique Automobile club of America award winning 1969 Malibu convertible survivor, and recently acquired a documented concourse level 1967 RS/SS 396 convertible.  Originally purchased the Chevelle convertible to upgrade with big block parts, yet it is the nicest survivor I have ever seen regardless of year and make, and did not want ruin it.  My intention is to simplify and sell both Chevelles and enjoy my RS/SS 396 convertible.  I now prefer convertibles and only drive antiques cars when sunny, and my old friend (The Green Machine) rarely gets driven and therefore it is simply time to let someone else enjoy her.    Denis (three zero three) 249-4560 Please contact me to have a look at, and inspect car Am happy to assist with shipping, will sell only to US or Canada.   $500 Nonrefundable deposit due immediately due within 24 hours, balance due in 7 days.   For sale locally, and may end auction early.
