Up for sale to a good home is a very nice 1967 Camaro. I am helping my neighbor sell his car as he can no longer drive and the car has not been driven on a regular basis in the last year. This is heart braking to him but reality has set in and it might as well go to a new home where it will get lots of love. The owner is very meticulous and if there was an item that was not right, he would lose sleep at night over it until it was perfect. I can't stress enough how nice this car is. No disappointments here. This is not an SS and it is not numbers matching. It started life as a rust free Camaro with a 327/Powerglide powertrain. I believe the color is called Mountain Green and it is an original GM color. The body is smooth, straight with no dings, dents or waves and shines like crazy. The car has had an extensive build with the best of everything and is like a new car. This is a high quality resto-mod that is very low key especially since it has a GM stroker motor and only a subtle 383 badge tells you how nasty this car is. Then again when it is running you get an idea how nasty it is. The car has won many trophy's in local car shows over the last few years. Every aspect of the build is documented in numerous binders and my understanding is that there is over $70K invested in this car. I think there is about 77K miles on the car but the drivetrain only has a few thousand miles on it. I will take the cover off it tomorrow and confirm the odometer reading. If you have questions please e-mail me at bills383stroker@yahoo.com and I will do my best to answer. The car is located in Bridgewater NJ. GM Performance Parts 383 stroker putting out 375 HPTH350 Trans with B&M ShifterPosi rear with 373 gearsNew convertible top that has never been down as the owner did not want any wrinkles in itSteel cowl induction hoodLike new interior that is perfect !Custom Flowmaster stainless exhaust Hedman Headers that are hot coatedWe started it up last weekend and it is running great with no issues that I can see at all. No leaks or out of place noises at all. The only strange item I can think of is that there is no choke on the carb. I have to ask the owner why he did this but he has a degree in mechanical engineering so there must of been a reason. Please do not waste anyones time if you do not have funds or just want to kick the tires. I do encourage looking at the car before bidding if you are local. This car is going to sell for about a third of what it cost to build so it is a screaming deal. We would like a deposit of $1000 within 3 days of the auction ending as a sign of good faith and intentions. Thanks for looking and we hope to find a good home for the car. Here are a few quick clips of the motor running and the nice exhaust note.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFUd0CgrQgY&context=C3c89295ADOEgsToPDskJ_3NREgVQzT5XtwInven5hhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPw4WEMMkPc&context=C353d9e2ADOEgsToPDskLiNkwunSri3YI3cF4teKBF On Feb-06-12 at 12:09:50 PST, seller added the following information:NO TRADES WILL BE CONSIDERED AT ALL. THE FAMILY OF THE OWNER/BUILDER IS NOT INTERESED IN A HARLEY, CORVETTE, CADILLAC, GOLF CART, DUNE BUGGY OR YOUR FIRST BORN IN TRADE OR PARTIAL TRADE. THE IDEA IS TO SELL THE CAR OUTRIGHT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND CONSIDERATION. On Feb-07-12 at 18:18:06 PST, seller added the following information:I have new information on the Camaro. This was a frame off restoration around 2002 at Nostalgia Motors in Boonton NJ. Only a few thousand miles have been put on the car since that time, I have included some new photos of the under-carriage and as you can see it is clean enough to eat off of. Also they did a upgrade to power brakes w/ front disc's from the manual drum brakes. They added a quick ratio steering box as well as adding a rear sway bar. There is also a boat load of magazines and lit on the 1967 Camaro. It is all included with the car. As for the actual milage that is unknown. The odometer reads 24K. I don't know if that was 24K or 124K or if that was the original speedometer. The 77K number was from another car he owned that was sold. My bad.On Feb-09-12 at 07:03:27 PST, seller added the following information:Car is available locally for sale and this aution may be terminated at any time without notice. On Feb-13-12 at 06:03:28 PST, seller added the following information:IF YOU HAVE ZERO OR NEGATIVE BIDS WE WILL DELETE YOUR BID. |
