This is my 1971 Olds Cutlass Supreme, I bought it in 1999 from a friend who owned it for 3 years. The motor is a 455 cid that is currently OUT OF THE VEHICLE and disassembled. In March 2004 I had machine work done and never put the motor back in. The 455 has "C" cylinder heads with the big valves, aluminum pistons, edelbrock camshaft I have the majority of the parts, but might be missing a few bolts. It has been garage kept since 1999. The body was originally brown but I had it painted a few years ago. The body is in great condition, the sides are super straight, the guys who painted it did a great job. The original core support, drivers front fender and hood were replaced when the car was painted, this was due to a fender bender that damaged the body in the front. The interior is original but the carpet and back seat cover should be replaced. Please contact me if you have any questions.    On Feb-11-12 at 20:35:56 PST, seller added the following information:Vehical history:                          I bought this car I 1999 from a high school friend, who received it from his step father for finishing school. When the father bought the car it was bone stock and all original. He put in a stock 455 that had never been rebuilt, it had points and exhaust manifolds. The 455 fits right in the body on stock mounts but stiffer spring were used because of the extra weight. I think the trans is original with the car, its a TH-350. When I bought the car I installed a HEI unit and a posi rearend. In 2001, due to a fender bender, the hood, driverside fender, bumper, core support were replaced. I had the frame checked for damage but it was spot on. When rebuilding the motor I used aluminum pistons, edelbrock performer cam and intake (I do not have the intake needs new $230), new cam bearings, main bearings, rod bearings, 4-barrel spread bore holly double pumper 750 and high flow oil pump. I had a well known body guy put on the body panels and do the paint (2000 VW Blue). It ran great till 2004, I was in traffic and the motor made a thump and died. I took the motor apart and took it to Action Machine shop in Port Richey, they said the pistons I used were to tight. They machined the crank to blueprint specs and fitted each piston to each cylinder. They inspected the block and everthing was to spec. By the time I got it back from the machine shop I had already bought a new car and since then I have'nt had the time or extra money to put it back together. Over all this Cutlass has amazing potential, there is almost zero rust, the underside rubber coating is in great shape. When ever I took took something apart the inside always looked brand new like it was never touched or exposed to the elements. With a little time and money this car could compete with one worth $20,000. Year One Inc has a whole catalog for this car including entire new interiors, new bumpers and any part you can imagine. The car is available to look at with appointment, just leave a message and I will contact you.   This car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to remove this veichle from auction.
